How to Enroll
International Students
At Career Pilot School, we understand that admission requirements for international students is more stressful and extensive than those of our domestic students. To help you along in your path, we provide the following steps to aid you in the enrollment process. Forms and information needed at each step are included as links. Please don't hesitate to contact us for help along the way!
In order to start the enrollment process, please email us full color scans of the following documents:
1. A copy of the identification and expiration portions of your passport.
2. Proof of Financial Ability. This can be a current Bank Statement or Affidavit of Support. Basically, this needs to be an official bank document showing that you have the funds available for flight training, as well as living expenses.
5. Please complete, sign, and scan the CPS Application.
6. Please read, and then sign and scan the signature page of our CPS Student Handbook.
7. Upon arrival at Career Pilot School, we will review the CPS Student Handbook with you personally and also review our Student Contract.
8. Please email us a scan of your current pilot certificates from your country if you have any. If you have a foreign pilot certificate, you will need to start the process of obtaining an FAA Private Pilot based on your foreign pilot certificate. Feel free to contact us for help converting your Private Pilot Certificate to an FAA Private Pilot Certificate.
9. Please send a check or wire transfer in the amount of $500 for your Deposit (nonrefundable) to hold your training slot.
After receiving all of the required documents and deposit, we will forward you a letter of acceptance and a SEVIS generated I-20, as well as other enrollment materials.
At this point, you will have all of the documents from us needed to apply for an M-1 Visa. We realize that this step can be long and stressful. We urge you to contact us any time for assistance.
1. You should check the I-20 for errors and contact us as soon as possible to correct them
2. Pay the fee to the U.S government to process your M-1 student visa request. This can be done at the I-901 fee processing website. The cost of this fee is $200 (payable by credit card online) and is not included in the price of the program. Please complete this step prior to scheduling your interview appointment with the American Embassy. It is important to note that the information on the I-901 must match the information on the I-20. After paying, print out the receipt as it is required when attending your meeting at the Embassy.
3. At this point, you should set up an appointment with the nearest U.S. Embassy office to be interviewed for the M-1 Visa. Click here for the nearest U.S. Embassy office near you. Please bring the following information to the M-1 Visa interview:
- Your valid passport
- If you are from India, U.S. Visa forms DS 156, DS 157 and DS 158
- CPS’s personnal letter of acceptance
