Aviation Educator Course
The Aviation Educator Course prepares a pilot for all phases of Flight Education. While enrolled in this course, you will earn the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII), and Multi Engine Instructor (MEI) ratings. Graduates of our CFI courses are employed throughout the United States at numerous flight schools.
Each day consists of about 7 to 9 hours of CFI oriented flight education. The Aviation Educator Course utilizes a syllabus to organize the course, however we are always flexible according to our students’ needs. The day typically begins at 9:00 A.M. and ends at 5:00 P.M. If it is necessary, some lessons may extend into the evening hours. However, we do realize that students learn much better when their basic needs are met, therefore we always allow more than enough time for eating, sleeping, and general relaxation. We urge students to explore Kansas City after a long day of flying in order to unwind from the rigors of accelerated flight training.
The cost of the Aviation Educator Course is $8595 and includes flight time in both our Piper Arrow and Twin Comanches. This price includes training materials, flight time up to 35 hours (of which 16 are Multi Engine), all flight instruction and all ground instruction. If the course cannot be completed within the hours allotted, the student has the option of paying for extra flight time at a per hour cost. In the rare event that this occurs, there is no additional flight or ground instruction charges. Above prices do not include sales tax, housing, or the practical test fee.
While enrolled in the Aviation Educator Course, you will initially prepare for your CFI checkride, which will be handled by the Kansas City Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). Upon completion of your CFI, you will subsequently fly with one of our Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs) to complete your CFII and MEI ratings.
