At CPS, We offer competitive Helicopter Pilot Training in the Robinson R22 and Robinson R44 for students wishing to obtain FAA Private through ATP certificates, Instrument Rating, Certified Flight Instructor and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument certificates. Our custom designed courses take you from entry level to the most advanced qualification possible. If you've not flown any type of aircraft before, the first pilot's license you can earn is the Private Pilot License. The first step to an exciting hobby or career. The private license will allow you to fly for fun, take friends and family for rides, provide yourself with aerial transportation, or build flight time for future ratings. Minimum FAA requirements: - Be at least 17 years old. - Obtain a third class medical certificate - Pass an FAA written examination - Obtain a minimum of: - 40 hours flight time - 30 hours dual instruction - 10 hours solo - Pass FAA Practical testCPL: Commercial Pilot License
The commercial license is the next step on the professional helicopter pilot’s path to success. The commercial license is required to fly for hire. In addition to perfecting the maneuvers you learned during your private training, your commercial training will introduce you to advanced helicopter maneuvers. Minimum FAA requirements: - 18 Years old - Must first obtain or hold an FAA Private Pilot Certificate - Obtain a second class medical certificate - Pass an FAA written examination - Obtain a minimum of: - 150 hours flight time - 50 hours dual instruction - 100 hours Pilot in Command Pass FAA Practical TestIR: Instrument Rating
The instrument rating is necessary for flight into adverse weather conditions, and our instrument training program will teach you to both control and navigate the aircraft solely by reference to the instruments. Minimum FAA requirements: - Obtain a third class medical certificate - Pass an FAA written examination - Hold a Current Private Pilot Certificate with: - 50 Hours X-C PIC - 40 Hours Actual/Simulated Training in Category - Pass FAA Practical Test CFI: Certified Flight Instructor Rating Flight Instructor is often the first flying position a commercial pilot will earn. A Certified Flight Instructor Rating (CFI) is required for a pilot to give instruction to other pilots. To become a Certified Flight Instructor pilot you need to meet the following requirements: - Obtain a second class medical certificate - Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate - Obtain necessary dual instruction and ground training until the standards are met - Pass two FAA written examinations (or one if applicant already holds another Flight Instructor rating) - Pass FAA Practical Test Course Objective: To enable the Commercial pilot to obtain the aeronautical knowledge, skill and experience necessary to meet the FAA requirements for a Certified Flight Instructor with a Rotorcraft category. Helicopter class rating. The Course also prepares the Commercial Pilot for the FAA CFI Knowledge test and Flight exams. CFII: Certified Flight Instructor Instruments for Helicopters: This course is for flight instructors with a helicopter-instrument rating, who want to provide instrument flight training.
